CFHI Partnership

GHEC-CFHI: Bringing Together Theory and Practice

In late 2007 GHEC partnered with Child Family Health International (CFHI), a San Francisco-based NGO that provides field placements to nearly 800 students annually at 17 sites across Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Our organizations share similar missions and values—with goals to enhance the global health workforce by supporting the efforts of students and teachers in the classroom and in the field. This partnership brings together theory and practice through GHEC’s academic reach, and CFHI’s 15 years of field placement experience in global health education programs.

Both CFHI and GHEC retain corporate independence while collaborating on projects that marry theory and practice in innovative ways.
